Mantra for Lord Gaṇeśa

vakra-tuṇḍa mahākāya sūrya-koṭi-sama-prabha
nirvighnaṁ kuru me deva sarva-kāryeṣu sarvadā

Oh Lord Gaṇeśa, with curved trunk, large body
and the brilliance of ten million suns,
let me always be without obstacles in all my works.

Verse to Śāradā (Sarasvatī)

śuklāṁ brahma-vicāra-sāra-paramām, ādyāṁ jagad-vyāpinīṁ
vīṇā-pustaka-dhāriṇīm abhayadāṁ, jāḍyāndhakārāpahām
haste sphāṭika-mālikāṁ vidadhatīṁ, padmāsane saṁsthitāṁ
vande tāṁ parameśvarīṁ bhagavatīṁ, buddhi-pradāṁ śāradām

I worship that white goddess, the supreme essence of meditation on the Absolute, the primeval pervader of the universe, she who bears a book and a vīṇā, the giver of fearlessness, the destroyer of the darkness of intellectual dullness, she who holds in her hand a crystal necklace, established on a lotus seat, the highest goddess, Śāradā, the giver of intelligence.

Salutation to the Guru

Guru-stotram   - 1st verse

gurur brahmā gurur viṣṇur gurur devo maheśvaraḥ
guruḥ sākṣāt paraṁ brahma tasmai śrīgurave namaḥ

The Guru is Brahmā, the Guru is Viṣṇuḥ, the Guru is the god Śivaḥ.
The Guru is the direct, highest Absolute Reality.
Salutations to that Guru.

Śiva as Wind and Fire

tarasā bhuvanāni yo bibharti dhvanati brahma yataḥ paraṁ pavitram
parito duritāni yaḥ punīte śiva tasmai pavanātmane namaste

He who with his force supports the worlds, that from which the highest, pure Om reverberates, he who purifies negativities all around, Oh Śiva, salutations to you in the form of the wind.

bhavataḥ smaratāṁ sadāsane jayini brahmamaye niṣeduṣām
dahate bhava-bīja-santatiṁ śikhine'nekaśikhāya te namaḥ

Salutations to you, with many flames, the fire that burns the succession of the seeds of worldly existence, for those who remember you, those established in victorious godhood.

Chant to Viṣṇu

śāntākāraṁ bhujaga-śayanaṁ padma-nābhaṁ sureśaṁ
viśvādhāraṁ gagana-sadṛśaṁ megha-vārṇaṁ śubhāṅgam
lakṣmī-kāntaṁ kamala-nayanaṁ yogibhir dhyāna-gamyaṁ
vande viṣṇuṁ bhava-bhaya-haraṁ sarva-lokaika-nātham

I worship Viṣṇu, the embodiment of peace, he who sleeps on a serpent, the lotus-naveled lord of the gods, the supporter of the universe, all pervading like the sky, dark colored like clouds, with shining limbs, the beloved of Laksmīḥ, the lotus-eyed, he who is attainable by yogis through meditation, the remover of the fear of worldly existence, the one lord of all the worlds.

Hymn to Hanuman (The Ultimate Devotee of Rāma)

mano-javaṁ māruta-tulya-vegaṁ jitendriyaṁ buddhimatāṁ variṣṭham
vātātmajaṁ vānara-yūtha-mukhyaṁ śrīrāma-dūtaṁ śaraṇaṁ prapadye

I resort to that shelter who is the messenger of Rama, the leader of the troop of the monkeys, the son of the Wind god, the best of the wise, he who has mastered his senses, whose power is like the wind, whose speed is that of the mind.

Invocations to Sage Patañjali

yogena cittasya  padena vācāṁ malaṁ śarīrasya ca vaidyakena
yo'pākarot taṁ pravaraṁ munīnāṁ patañjaliṁ prāñjalirānato'smi

I bow with folded hands to Patañjali, the best of sages, he who removed the impurity of the mind-stuff through Yoga, that of language through word, that of the body through medicine.

ābāhu-puruṣākāraṁ śaṅkha-cakrāsi-dhāriṇaṁ
sahasra-śīrṣaṁ śvetaṁ praṇamāmi patañjalim

I salute Patañjali who has a human form as far as his arms, bearer of a conch shell, a cakra (wheeled weapon) and a sword, who is white, he who has a thousand heads.
